We understand that sharing personal details online can pose apparent risks and that your privacy is naturally very important to you. So here's our Privacy Policy so that you feel as comfortable about the whole thing as possible!
We don’t ask you for personal information unless we genuinely need it, and we only collect this information if you voluntarily provide it to us. In order to use the current functionality of the BikeParkPRO website, you must first create an account (on the mobile App or on the website directly), using your existing Facebook account details (standard email registration is coming soon!). We therefore collect your very basic information from Facebook - name, email address, gender, date of birth, and location. You also have the ability to edit this information directly on your BikeParkPRO profile page. Your credit card information will be stored if you choose to become a PRO Member, however this is managed by Stripe (https://stripe.com) and we do not have access to your payment details. And we also use Google Analytics as a method of tracking statistics and user behavior on the website.
We use the information that we collect from you in a few different ways. First we use it to personalize your BikeParkPRO experience - the platform ultimately exists for you to track your bike park visits and riding data! We also use it to improve the website - we want to continually improve the whole product to create the best possible experience for riders, and we do that based on the information and feedback we receive from you. We need some details in order to administer any potential competitions, promotions, surveys or other features of the website. And we will also send you the occasional email, telling you about special promotions, new features, or looking for your feedback so we can make your BikeParkPRO experience better! Of course you may remove your name from our email list by updating your profile or by emailing [email protected].
We do not sell or share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products and services, or protect our rights. However we may share information with trusted third parties who assist us in operating the website and providing the service, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. Website visitor information that is non-personally identifiable may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Yes we do. Cookies are small files that a website or service provider transfers to your hard drive through your Web browser, to enable certain information to be captured and remembered for future visits. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your preferences to prevent it. However not accepting cookies may make certain features of the website unavailable to you. When you visit the BikeParkPRO website, a cookie will therefore be stored on your computer. Generally, cookies work by assigning a unique number to your computer that has no meaning outside of BikeParkPRO. We use cookies to help us understand and save your preferences for future visits, keep track of advertisements, and compile data about website traffic and user interaction to help us improve the overall user experience.
As the BikeParkPRO functionality and features develop, updates to our Privacy Policy will be required so that you are aware of what information we collect and how we use it. These changes will be posted here, and we reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time.
We do everything we can to protect your personal information. However no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely 100% secure. Transmitting your personal information is at your own risk as we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any details you transmit.
If you have any questions and comments about security and privacy then please send us an email at [email protected].
